🌟🌟🌟🌟 Review for LIFE’S GATEWAY TO HAPPINESS (The Stone Series, Book 2) by Anne Stone

Let me begin with the understanding that although this is the second book in the series, this can be read as a standalone. As this was my first introduction to not only Anne Stone but also to the characters of The Stone Series, I assure you I was able to easily follow along and came to adore the characters who had already received their happily ever after and for those who are still awaiting their moment. I will be going back to read Life’s Second Chances while I eagerly await the third book in the series. (Any idea when we might see that one, Anne Stone?)
While I will state that the book moved a little slower than I liked at the beginning, I was still drawn to the characters and their situation. Kelly is a strong and independent woman who is struggling with the after effects of a life altering experience. Her struggle between needing support and wanting to be able to stand on her own, her need to be able to find herself on her own made me come to appreciate her far more. She is reliant, smart, and most of all compassionate and caring. And then there is Alec. I am not sure how anyone reading this story could not fall for his heartfelt compassion. His humor, strength, intelligence, his ability to see beyond the façade, and his fierce protectiveness pulled at me heart strings.
Through strong characters, emotional experiences, and strategically placed conflict, readers will be pulled into The Stone Series.
