VanDyken-TheMatchmakersReplacement-CV-FL-vC6-RGBWingman rule number two: never reveal how much you want them.

Lex hates Gabi. Gabi hates Lex. But, hey, at least the hate is mutual, right? All Lex has to do is survive the next few weeks training Gabi in all the ways of Wingmen Inc. and then he can be done with her. But now that they have to work together, the sexual tension and fighting is off the charts. He isn’t sure if he wants to strangle her or throw her against the nearest sturdy table and have his way with her.

But Gabi has a secret, something she’s keeping from not just her best friend but her nemesis too. Lines are blurred as Lex becomes less the villain she’s always painted him to be…and starts turning into something more. Gabi has always hated the way she’s been just a little bit attracted to him—no computer-science major should have that nice of a body or look that good in glasses—but “Lex Luthor” is an evil womanizer. He’s dangerous. Gabi should stay far, far away.

Then again, she’s always wanted a little danger.

Our 5starReview of THE MATCHMAKER’S REPLACEMENT by Rachel Van Dyken

I had been dying to get my hands on The Matchmaker’s Replacement immediately following the reading of The Matchmaker’s Playbook. I mean, The Matchmaker’s Playbook was an incredible story that fulfilled my love of RomComs, and I loved Ian and Blake…but I knew the banter, wit, chemistry, and sexual tension between Lexi and Gabi would be off the charts. And folks, let me tell you, Rachel Van Dyken did not disappoint! With a list of one-liners and swoon-worthy quotes, Lex and Gabi will have you laughing, crying, and cheering for a match that is perfect!

I absolutely LOVE Lex with all there is to love. A sexy, brilliant computer geek with a body to make one drool and enough snark and cheekiness to keep things interesting—not to mention the heart of gold he keeps hidden—Lex is the hero of my dreams. I could not help but fall harder and harder for him as he struggled with his ability to keep Gabi at a distance, to continue the charade that had been in place to salvage one friendship while sacrificing his own happiness. Dang, the man got me!

And Gabi? Well, I want Gabi to be my best friend. No, seriously!! That girl can give as good as she gets! She has more spark and fire in her and possesses a compassionate heart that is willing to sacrifice for those she loves. She is an amazing friend and a woman who works hard to make the best of every situation. So watching the interplay between the two as sparks flew was highly entertaining. And with neither one willing to back down, the interactions were explosive, to say the least.

The Matchmakers Replacement is one of my top reads of 2016 and probably one of the best enemies to friends RomComs I have read! So gear up for a date with some verbal sparring, witty banter, cheeky one-liners, and some swoon-worthy moments. This is a definite #MustRead!

*PS: If you have not heard the news, The Matchmaker’s Playbook has been optioned for movie rights with filming to begin in 2017. So what are you waiting for? It is time to get to know the men of Wingmen, Inc.
