Sold. I never imagined I would be grateful to be bought by the Bratva.

One more year and i was set to marry evil. I’ve heard the gruesome tales of that family before.

I’m awarded with a new beginning when I’m given to the mafia, for Nikolai to keep.

He’s unlike anything I could of dreamed of, especially after the screwed up way I was raised.

The problem? My betrothed isn’t willing to give me up.

I’ve lost what I love; they were stolen from me, tortured and violated.

I feel like I’ve fought my entire life to fill the void left inside.

My heart is coated in sadness but I’m good at keeping it locked deep.

The Mafia saved me, but now I’m faced with yet another unwanted sacrifice. I won’t let her go. I have to save this one.

*Can be read as a standalone, but characters from Secrets & Corrupted are present in this book.

A 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Review of UNWANTED SACRIFCIES by Sapphire Knight

By Amy at Pages Abound

One of my guilty pleasures is reading about strong alpha males, especially those with ties to the mafia. Sapphire Knight has delivered a gritty, dark, and dangerous world of Russian Mafiya members who hold tight to the ideals of fighting for what they want regardless the cost, offering protection for those with whom they are connected, and passionate and all-consuming love for the women in their lives.

With great anticipation, I eagerly awaited Niko’s story. With an underlying understanding that once this man fell, he would fall hard, Niko and Bina’s story encompasses the electric chemistry I was expecting. Having been friend for years, Niko is tasked with keeping Sabrina safe. So what happens when the woman you have sworn to protect, the woman you have secretly loved for years, falls victim to a failed security breech?  No longer able to simply deflect using wit and humor to hide his inner turmoil, this story brings to light the underlying depth of pain Niko has kept hidden, the loss he has endured, and the fear he has about losing one more person he loves. This is Niko’s fight and Sabrina’s struggle for survival.

With a hard storyline, one filled with ugliness and horror, readers will be led through a story that draws forth a level of fear for Bina’s safety and have them hoping against all hope that Niko’s strength and determination, as well as the family ties, will be enough to ensure her safety and a happy ending for this amazing couple. A couple who have shared a love for one another over the years that has never been acknowledged. These are two strong characters who both have a passion for life, a need for independence, acceptance and love, and who have an ability to show strength through the worst of situations.

This is a story about survival. This is a story of determination. This is a story of overcoming hurt and loss. This is a story about fighting the demons of hell to win back love.
